Homemade Taco Seasoning

I hate buying those prepackaged taco seasoning mixes so I make this every so often and just keep it in an airtight container in my spice cupboard.

6tsp Chili Powder
5tsp Paprika
5tsp Cumin
4tsp Onion Powder
3tsp Garlic Powder
½ – 2tsp Cayenne Powder (depends on how spicy you want it)
1tsp Salt (optional)

Just mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight container. 7tsp = package of taco mix. If you use garlic salt instead of garlic powder make sure you omit the salt. Also you can leave the salt out completely if you prefer. Feel free to adjust the amounts of any of the spices to your own taste. Just add to ground beef or turkey or strips of chicken to make yummy tacos.
